Nossa Comunidade · Our Community
Built by the Portuguese Community
Vasco da Gama was built by Portuguese immigrants who came to Bridgeport and created something of their own. What started as a gathering place became a lasting home for the community, shaped by the people who gave their time, their work, and their commitment to keeping Portuguese culture alive.
Generations later, that same spirit remains. Families continue to return, new members get involved, and the club stays rooted in the identity of the Portuguese-American community it represents.

The club also hosts private events and celebrations, continuing its role as a central gathering place for the Portuguese-American community. Through it all, Portuguese traditions are not just preserved, but carried forward.
